Founded in 2005 by the Tesfaye family, SELAM Retail & Grocery started as a small corner store with a big dream - to bring authentic Habesha flavors to the diverse community of Toronto. "SELAM" means "peace" in Amharic, and that's exactly what we've strived to bring to our customers for over two decades.

...East African and Habesha cultures come together. We've stayed true to our roots while expanding our offerings to include fresh enjera, hambasha, and a wide range of authentic Ethiopian groceries.
